Our family of four (kids 3 and 7) booked at this property mid-March and I checked on our reservation tody where I noticed that our booked "Hokupa'a - Oceanfront, Larger Guest room, 2 Queen, Lanai Experience, Balcony" has been modified to "Hokupa'a - Premier Suite, 1 Bedroom Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed, Ocean view, Lanai Experience". At first blush this is a big win for us and I'm grateful for the early bump to a suite.
However, when I looked at the photos of the new room type, it looks like it may be a low floor facing the alley between the hotel and shops. This is what we specifically wanted to avoid since it can be noisy and smelly. Does anyone have experience with the premier suite room type at this property - does it in fact face the alley/shops on a lower floor?
