Here's a scenario I need some assistance with.

I currently have a five night booking for early March and got my $300 credit in 2025. If I change that booking to a three night booking and make a new two night booking (for a total of five nights), what will happen with the credits?

Will I keep the 2025 credit on the modified booking from five to three nights and be able to use the 2026 credit on the new two night booking?

Will I lose the 2025 credit for changing the reservation and use the 2026 credit for making a new booking?

Something else? I'm new to using these credits. I've been a Platinum cardholder for many years, but have never had a good time to use HC hotels.
