The Skift article predicts that Rosewood CEO Sonia Cheng would join Marriott to continue manage the brand. Like the successor to one of the world's biggest real estate companies would relegate herself to being a Marriott VP.

More likely, she needs to take over the core business at the family empire and doesn't have time for the "fun" part anymore.
