Did it also state what sort of hot item? These days even in Europe, these hot items are quite sad...I do really wonder what Corp Hilton is planning with the brand standard (Hilton and above here in this case) if standards are downgrading to such level..
If it was not me only needing about 10% to reach LT Dia, and footprint factor, I would have dumped the chain for something else e.g Hyatt (sadly footprint is still horribly weak).
