You're not wrong - at least for now, I don't believe that a single fare class (the letter) is applicable to multiple cabins. But then again, it wasn't that long ago that a single fare class (the letter) was only applicable to a single fare brand ... and that changed.
Anyway, I stand by my point that the key things you need to understand are the cabin, and the fare brand - and the fare class (the letter) is not sufficient to tell you both of those things. Attempting to use just the fare class (the letter) has already confused the OP - hence the questions about are they in PY or Latitude - so my opinion is that for anyone who's not as expert as you,
PLeblond , our advice should be to not start with the fare class (the letter).
