Hm, let's see if I have this right. If I have an Avis rental that costs $200 in base fare, which is on average what it costs me, that'd be worth 400 Aeroplan points, and would convert to 80 SQCs. If I do 12 rentals this year, that's nearly 1000 SQCs. Probably not enough to move the needle.

For the same base fare, I can get 300 Avis points, so for 12 rentals that's 3600 points, which is enough for 1 or 2 free days of rental. Again, not great. I'll have to think about this, but overall it's not really worth worrying too much about it, given the low values involved.
