Hello. I am taking a vacation to the Hilton Indura Beach Resort with my family. Curious about safety.

Would you suggest taking a private transfer to and from the airport, or renting a car and driving yourself? Are there concerns about safety to and from the resort? Any safety concerns in Tela? I'd like to explore some and not be tethered to the resort. Sorry to sound like a dumb American!
