Long story short I was on the BA 1307 on Jan 6th. Supposed to depart ABZ at 13:40 on the 6th. We were 'delayed' and reschedule overnight to to a 07:35 departure on the 7th. This initially was due to weather at ABZ but the crew then went out of hours, hence the delay overnight.
In this situation would compensation be applicable? I am guessing not as it was initially weather related but wanted to quickly post here. Thanks in advance.
PS - For added context the BA 1309 (14:45) departed on the 6th albeit when the runway reopened at 17:30.
