I had finally come around to CONSIDERING opening up a credit card with them (none of which seems to give that great of a benefit compared to competitors), since I have a good few amount of trips planned to Korea. I figured, why not?
Imagine my surprise when I log onto Korean Air and check months and months of availability far out (I looked October 2026 - first few days of Jan 2027)... only to not find even a singular prestige class award redemption. In what world would I be incentivized to spend money on a credit card if the ONE use for it (getting award redemptions) isn't even a thing...? It's not like Korean Air is oversaturated with miles, given that it doesn't have major transfer partners. Just bizarre strategy...
Anyway, I saw this thread at the top of the Korean Air Flyertalk and had a good chuckle. Thanks all!
