We've been to Mexico City several times and while we were 95% public transit previously, on the last trip (right before the pandemic) we moved to rideshare (generally preferred Cabify over Uber). I tend to run hot and it was so hot and crowded in the Metro (both stations and trains) and since rideshare was $2-$3 USD per ride generally and with air conditioning, we preferred that. I would still do MetroBus when we eventually go back (my new job has conflicted me out of the time of year we used to regularly go), but as someone who sometimes rides public transit too much when traveling, I did find the value proposition of rideshare in Mexico City to be very high.
