Boarding started an hour before departure and took quite some time. Those in group A could bypass the queue at the gate at any time.
On board, there was the usual AV amenity kit and the bedding kit waiting at the seat. The purser gave out little cards welcoming J passengers on board with the passengers' names written by hand. After takeoff, drinks and a meal were served. Drinks options included wine and beer (no sparkling wine), and the food options were fish or vegetarian. The meal was fine for a flight of this length. Later, a snack basket was passed around, containing crisps, dried fruit and other nibbles. The crew were very polite and proactive. I spoke with them in Spanish so I am not sure what the level of English was.

Is this A320 or 787-8?
I took the same route, but on a 787-8 plane. I was afraid of the A320. That might have been Copa, not AV. AV 787-8 is great. I skipped the hot food. They did not get any cold salad or fruit to offer, just some snacks and chips.
