This is very helpful but a I'm still working to wrapping my head around the room options.

My wife and I have a 6 day stay coming up starting Feb 1. I get to goof off while she attends a conference each morning. I'm Globalist and booked us into a King Oceanfront room. There are no suites available for upgrade but the property recommend against one even if there were since that would result in our downgrading from ocean front to ocean view.

If we stick with the room and value quiet an I correct we should request the Napali tower?

The website is showing an Oceanfront Suite available for cash booking. My understanding is that if the suite remains unsold as we get closer to the our arrival date the property might offer a SUA + cash upgrade if we call them directly. Does anyone have any experience with this? If so how far ahead would be the right time to call?
