2. Putting the dog factor aside, is one of these studios preferable to the other?
3. Assuming we have a choice, is there a particular spot/wing of the hotel we should ask for or avoid?
4. Any recommended alternative uses of the points in the area, be it Hyatt or other chains, taking into account our having the dog with us? (I realize that the Ventana is considered a far superior, quieter hotel, and we've indeed liked it the two times we've gone. But we're aiming for April, when rates are about twice as high, plus we'd be interested in a change of pace.)
Thanks for any help!
I've probably been twenty times but I still don't know the difference between the studio room types.
If you're a globalist, you'll almost certainly be upgraded to a suite. I prefer the outdoor tub studios but sometimes have to settle for the suite because they're not available.
I don't have personal experience about dogs but I do see a bunch of dogs on the property.
No real area of the property to avoid. If you, do get an outdoor tub, the valley area is a little more private than the bluff area.
Besides Ventana, I don't think there's much in the Hyatt portfolio of interest in the area.
