The FAQ doesn’t appear to say that a cert is lost if it was used for less than 25k and then the award is canceled.

I would expect to get the cert returned to the account and then be usable again for the original 25k discount value (though it doesn’t say that it will be 25k vs. in your case 22.5k… but it just seems logical to me).
I would contact AS reservations - maybe they can just rebook you.
