Other than mmogdan, has anyone else received a response from their "missing avios" claim?

Based on the information provided, the promotion regarding 250 Avios per $ spent was provided and offered through the British Airways e-Store, we kindly recommend contacting them directly for further assistance regarding this concern. I feel like BA will say it’s nothing to do with them too. Aside from the watertight terms and conditions, it does feel like someone / some entity should be accountable for what they promoted.
Do we now live in a world where a business can advertise basically anything then switch it out with no accountability? In my line of business if we made such mistake we would either honour it or attempt to make it right (some sort of compromise offer to the client). I personally won’t be doing a chargeback because it doesn’t sit right with me. I guess my friend in the US will have to return the item unless BA decide to turn this around (doubtful based on track record).
