I'm confused by your first question - it's whatever shows up when you search.

Your second question - you do NOT accrue hotel points but you may get some of your benefits (for example, I'm a Hilton Diamond and I get my F&B credit but do not get my 1000 bonus points).

Your third question is subjective to you.
