Capping it to C12Y134 to avoid putting an extra FA until they can be properly refitted with the new cabin. Actually, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, are they just referring to the leased ex-AS fins (but I thought they were C12Y138)?
Or like others have mentioned, a place holder to swap between fins and fill the empty seats with standbys/gate upgrades.
It seems like quite inefficient since overselling a seat or two is the industry standard.
For narrowbody aircraft, it goes by seat count, not passenger count. So they wouldn't be able to cap it.
There are however, 320's that are flying/scheduled with 4 FA's. 417-420 are scheduled with 4, but can fly with 3. 421-422 must fly with 4.
