Catching up on what? Slow, useless technology for the sake of technology? I've seen these stupid things at EWR A and used them there when departing on UA. They complicate boarding and offer no benefit whatsoever other than making the process more confusing for infrequent travelers and slower for everyone.

Stupid, costly, slow, unnecessary solutions in search of a problem.

Ludicrous waste of money. Is this a to AA for wasting its shareholders money on useless technology that makes boarding worse and slower or is this a to the DFW airport board for wasting the PFCs we all pay on this pointless, enervating crap?

We pay enough in PFCs already. Airport boards shouldn't be wasting OUR money on junk like this.
