I’m one of Delta Air Lines’ biggest fans and geeks, but I’m also a stickler for correct and consistent spelling. Any other Delta nerd will have noticed these two inconsistencies in spelling the dreaded word one hopes to never hear or see on their Delta flight.

It’s amazing that their internal systems can have two spellings of such an important word (one for gate and airport displays, the other for its app/website, as shown below).

And for the record and debate, which Delta spelling is correct? Or are there two different, and two distinct spellings of this word?
