i do similar and wait 13+ months then call after a full 13 months have passed. but highly unusual to not get any retention on all cards. i must have triggered something.

ya. i could see how amex implemented new algo to automate the retention offer process and accurately ID pple who dont cancel even wen offered no bonus.
Even retention offers vary year over year - better in 2024 vs 2025 for me
you can not downgrade most retention worthy cards to a non AF card - Plat and be downgraded to green but still an AF
As it seems so me some years have better retention offers, other years have an abundance of NLL offers and some years you just have to cancel cards
