It was more of a wish list. Doubt it will realistically happen due to the reason you state and probably other real world hurdles.
And again being realistic, at the end of the day if United was going to devote resources/cycles/brain power, would prioritize other things like better food and lounges, etc. than whether the tail number of the airplane fits a nice pattern
