PH Niseko • cancellation policy - could someone explain?
Firstly, thank you for reading this -- I do greatly appreciate it!
I've noticed that the PH Niseko has a very restrictive cancellation policy, where within 90 days of booking, no points refunds are possible: cancel and you seem to lose the whole stash of points?
May I ask for some advice, consequently?
I've noticed sporadic points availability crop up for this hotel over the last couple of months for dates in January (this month).
1. Have I read this correctly? (I think I have, sadly): If availability cropped up today for a date within 90 days of today, if I susbsequently cancelled then I would forfeit all points?
2. If someone has cancelled in the last two months -- i.e. within 90 days of arrival -- in order to create this sporadic points availability for the PH NIseko, does this not mean that the person cancelling has forfeited all their booking points? In which case, I can't quite work out why anyone would be prepared to stomach such a forfeit? Unless, of course, I am missing something here... which is entirely possible!
Any education on the above questions would be greatly appreciated.
All the best.
