I value the difference between BA J and BA F at about £400-500 per flight. Given the SYD flight is 2 sectors, I would probably take that. £1300 on top of a BA WT+ ticket and you are at a price point where you could get Cathay in J, which is leaps and bounds better than BA J in my opinion.
