edit: the comment does remind me of a post one FT’er made during the trial in 2025. Confronted with a reduced service and no hot breakfast the FT’er rightly complained, only for the cc to basically tell them off and more or less say it was their fault for not eating in the lounge beforehand. Sadly there are a minority of cc who seem to hold these attitudes - one wonders why they want to be cc when they appear to hold their customers in such contempt
Just when you think that you have heard the lot, along comes something that takes one's breath away for its sheer nerve and downright cheek. How dare they say that! I have no recollection of the trial but clearly not enough people did not kick off about it. When I think what used to be served on the CDG runs and then this nonsense. What I object to even more is that they would insult our intelligence by telling us that was what we all wanted in the first place. Had Cabin Crew told me that I should have eaten in the Lounge; the fur would really have flown. It is so much more sensible to just agree on "Yes, isn’t it dreadful - do complain to BA. They never listen to us".

I must confess, however, that I have absolutely no intention of ever taking a breakfast flight as one of the joys of being retired is that I do not have to. I am just concerned that this is the thin end of the wedge.
