Also wish they offerend the hard product only upgrade (no food no amenities) at all time complimentary when seats are free. That would not cost them anything bit would attract more pax
Of course it would cost them something, there's a reason why other airlines don't do it either. Once you start upgrading people for free, they will lose incentive to pay for a higher travel class and you lose revenue.
