Unlike others, I am a bit tired and do not count a lot of metrics since I just travel way too much to have the energy. I spent a total of 78 days home this year, a new low that I really do not want to repeat. I went on 8 major trips this year, and I am genuinely a bit weary.

First trip used the last of AS sweet spot to go to Oceania for 55k miles. then cheap CI redemption on AF to TPE, and dirt cheap NH F with the South East Asia tag if booked on AV. Met a Korean cult in Fiji, got hurt in the CX F lounge massage, drank spring water in rural NZ, first time dining face to face with mom on F flight.

2nd trip is to mostly mileage run to Europe with a mix of seeing friends. EI booked on AS earning nearly 25k EQM each roundtrip, easily put me at 150k EQM by year end.

3rd trip is to Japan, flew JX J again but first time on the A339 to KMJ, I was the only J pax out of 28 seats. roadtripped in Kyushu before attending Osaka Expo. Ended with a few days in China and visiting Angkor Wat. BR J for the first time coming back.

4th trip took me to high Arctic. Redeemed AC miles on 5T for killer value before deval, and I actually have a trip report on this forum if you want to look at it. I was stuck in YAB and YFB for multiple times, and almost did not make it to Greenland. Polar Bear skins, narwhal tusks, had a 5m long voucher, and then saw all the blood in national day celebration of GOH where they gutted multiple seals. Then a quick trip to Lithuania and SK J CPH-YYZ back.

5th trip is South America this time. cheap AA J fare as always out of YVR to random locations in Americas, this time to BON and return from SAL. Did ABC islands, first ever flight that has free seating for BON-CUR, and then 10 days in Bolivia.

Next up is Africa. cheap AC redemption with stopover in ADD. CPT was stunning in Sep, and MQP for some animals. VFA was closed for a delayed KQ flight, and they ferried all the pax across border to LVI for our flight to NBO, my first transborder IRROPS rescue. A bit of Masai Mara and ZNZ later, did a roadtrip in Oman. Before flying to CGK to catch another cheap QR J CGK-SEA booked on AS.

Japan again since Osaka Expo was so nice. Free upgrade on the HA SEA-NRT using cert, and a nice road trip to the central mountains near Kanazawa. Last min 37k VS miles for 11hr NH J to DEL, and then a small trip in India to see the Sikh and Jain holy cities. Eventually flew the "special promo" NAG-DEL-JFK AI suite for 200 dollars lol.

Final trip, another free upgrade rt on HA/AS SEA-ICN, then Yunnan province before taking the Lao high speed railway to LPQ, a bit of swim in Vang Vieng before flying VTE-KMG-CTU, 7 days in Sichuan mountains before returning. 400USD TPAC RT J is just too good to pass up before end of year.

I must have missed some flights but I am too lazy to track. In total I did around 170k miles BIS, way too tiring as I am constantly doing new things and flying new places. Another year of unplanned 6-continent visit, but well what can you do when you catch the flying bug am I right?
