At LHR almost always yes, at EDI almost always yes, at DXB now always yes since they created the Group 0 seating area, at DOH almost always no, at MIA always yes, at JFK surprisingly very variable, at DFW also extremely variable. Those are my main routes. LHR/EDI/DXB/MIA have a lot of Group 0s so I suppose that’s why they now do it reasonably well. JFK should have lots too so I am not sure why they are so bad but also haven’t been through there for at least 6 months.

When it is done well I usually have the opportunity to just walk around anyone who has placed themselves in the queue but normally at LHR they ask you to come forward at the same time as the preboards and then often tell you where they want you to sit and then tell you to go on first.

I realise experiences are very variable but for me it has been 90% positive and when it doesn’t work it isn’t any worse than the old system.
