Same with the Japanese dishes, somehow SATS seems to be challenged to produce well tasting rice that matches the dish. A bit embarrassing for an Asian caterer in my book.

No Japanese rice for Japanese dishes that even "fast food" outlets like Sukiya can produce in good quality.

Nothing like nice fragrant coconut rice (or nasi uduk type) to match certain Malay or Indonesian dishes. Even the rice for the somewhat famed chicken rice BTC is meh and can't hold up to even "just okay" hawker places.
