Has AS changed how GGU certificates are applied? I applied my GGU certificate to a flight, but it was applied resulting in an upgrade to First Class but the GGU certificate was still in my account as unused. Is AS now using a hybrid of applying the GGU but not deleting it from account until the flight actually completed?
I’ve seen the same thing on my account. I have applied online or had a representative apply for me and they never leave my account. Not sure if this is only the case for codes that expire 12/31/2025 but either way, I don’t think this is on purpose.
