You jest, but having worked with an organization that in the year 2000 had not yet moved from DOS to Windows (which you could run atop DOS, remember), it's not impossible.

Also, I just started Hard Landing last night, and am fresh off reading about the origins of Sabre (Saber) and Apollo etc... so my conviction that anything is plausible behind the scenes is even higher than ever before!
