I think you need to book directly with hilton to get benefits per the t&cs ie diamond getting room access regardless of room type.
third party bookings will not count.
some hotels may go beyond the t&c and allow access but i would not count on it
i did pay a bit extra to ba holidays for the conrad dubai to get lounge access i would nornally not get acces due to the ba holiday booking
The ba holiday is a good idea to earn status on ba now but will not work well for hotel status benefits
