Mostly agree with the above, though while you won't get the excitement of takeoffs and landings the A gates views can still be interesting esp. for the international airlines, and there will often be aircraft parked in the corner of the apron closer to the GH.

The suite upgrades at the HR SFO are the business suites that are on the second floor, facing inwards. Not my preference. I prefer high floors facing the east with bay views. For what it's worth, I've gotten HR SFO upgrades to suites facing the bay on more than one occasion.
