I inquired about a vehicle in the class I booked and she said the only Compact SUV they had was the Kia Soul but, again, it hadn’t been cleaned yet. So I asked about the VW Taos in the lot, she said that it would be considered an upgrade and that it, too, was not clean. I asked why it would be considered an upgrade and she explained that vehicles as such, as well as the Jeep Compass, Nissan Rogue, Buick Envista, and Buick Encore GX in the lot, would be considered Small SUV’s and would be more expensive.

I begrudgingly agreed to “upgrade” to a Small SUV as I was supposed to have been on the road an hour and a half ago. I get put into a Jeep Compass Trailhawk in which none of the buttons on the steering wheel work and the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree. I walk back in and inform them of the issue.

I then get put into the Nissan Rogue. Off to the car wash I go, as I wasn’t informed the car hadn’t been cleaned and wow it was filthy inside and out.

All of this to say, Volkswagen Taos is now apparently an option in some places. Not sure if it’s B4 or Q4 for them. This location seemed to have their classes all messed up.
There’s been an increasing number of Volkswagen vehicles available at Hertz. Grabbed a Taos at FLL last week and it was tagged as Q4. Seems weird as Tiguan is also tagged as Q4 but is much larger than Taos.

PS: haven’t posted enough so wasn’t able to edit the Wiki. Would appreciate if someone could add Volkswagen Taos into Q4. Thanks
