I've been looking at DUB-SJC and that comes in at around €2644 / £2307 in business. If I add a car to make it a €300 deposit holiday, it's pretty much the same price +/- €2.

Did look at PE prices from various starting points, and most of the time, for my dates, there was a few £100 price difference with PE being a good £1500+.

Looked at AA and can get basic economy, ex-EU, for around £350, £470ish for main cabin, and PE 6x that. £1k+ more for business.
Used to pay around £700 for PE returns via AA.

Looked at GOT-SJC and that starts at around £1400 in PE booked with AA vs. possibly double that booked with the BA website.

Did have a look at MAN-PDX in PE with car hire:
A little over £1220 for a week (business £3085)

From £1144 if starting from ARN in PE.
