BA not the first airline to give me this issue but seems like a lot of the airliners don’t understand Canadians don’t need a tourist visa or ESTA to visit US either lol.

According to our security check, you do not currently have the authorisation required to travel to the US. You will not be able to check in online until you are in possession of a ESTA, US Visa, US Visa or Green Card.
Hopefully it will all be resolved at LHR as is commonly reported on here. Not that it should have to be that way of course.

Here's a thread with similar issues and this comes up fairly regularly albeit mostly ESTA issues as your message states above. Please let us know how you get on if you get the chance at some point.
