Its absolutely not even remotely the same as leaving the restaurant and not leaving the tip.
Remember, next time you are leaving from your room at Hilton Garden Inn, just leave a tip for your cleaning lady 20% of your nightly rate, also don't forget to tip your friendly front desk person in the amount of 20% of your nightly rate, and after free breakfast - don't forget to leave a tip in the amount of 20% of your nightly stay.
These are hotel employees, paid by owners of the hotel. They are not tip workers in a restaurant making $5 or less per hour.
Your nightly rate pays for their salary.
This hotel is another one to avoid. They should be ashamed putting 'tipping' menu in the room.
