Gongzuokuang -- I buy and redeem points with Chase 4th night free and 10% points discount most of the time. It's been crazy value in many locations worldwide since the new program kicked off in 2022. In many places, IHG points redemptions now suck, even with the Chase discounts. HK remains amazing value, with the IC and CP Causeway Bay often ringing in around $120 (USD) worth of points. IC GS also has corporate rates in the HK$1200 range afaik. You seem to like it a lot, but it's not in my top 10 of HK hotels, so I only stay there as a last resort TBH. I dislike the area, always have, and IMO it's a shadow of its pre-Covid self now. And IF I stay there, I generally don't take the MTR, but buses via the cross-harbor tunnel.
As for the CP, totally agree that the suites are very nice. They rarely give them out as a free upgrade, but I've used a few CSUs here. The racecourse view rooms are great, too, and I agree about the happy hour. A little too much fried/American foods for my liking, but an amazing location. Just a shame about the mediocre breakfast.
