Back in '89, we stayed in the -50° to even -60° range for a couple of weeks. I seem to recall most of the flights still operating.

And, just for the record, we hit -60° two years ago - at least per the thermometer at Ester Gas. It messed up the power steering pump on my truck

I shiver to think how much colder it must be out in Salcha...🥶
I've got a friend with a tesla out there.

Ice fog is making the roundabouts into a pinball table. Too cold for crews to be out in the roads, past 30 below they start breaking down.

Looks like day #3 of 0 QX ops in FAI.
