I rebooked to come in on a 739 straight up from Seattle. If the flight does cancel, I've got more affordable hotels and restaurants to choose from down there. And lots of lounges!
Back in '89, we stayed in the -50° to even -60° range for a couple of weeks. I seem to recall most of the flights still operating.
And, just for the record, we hit -60° two years ago - at least per the thermometer at Ester Gas. It messed up the power steering pump on my truck

I've got a friend with a tesla out there.
Ice fog is making the roundabouts into a pinball table. Too cold for crews to be out in the roads, past 30 below they start breaking down.
