I am a plane geek and very much interested in anything to do with aviation. I will definitely want to put this bird on my list of planes I have flown, but hopefully for nothing longer than a Rapidar YUL/YYZ leg.
But the discussion herewith seems to treat the plane as if it will revolutionize flying. That's where I get off the wagon. To me it's a novelty interior on an old plane with a big fuel tank. And anyone in Y (which is where the vast majority of people will experience this product) should fear this plane as any Y seat evolution I have seen in the last 40 years has made the experience inferior in terms of comfort from its predecessor and I cannot expect this to be any different. That should be shocking when considering the long routes it will fly.
So on that front, the XLR is more akin to lipstick on a pig than say
a 787 or a 747 the C-Series
