I have flown into BCN and ACE recently, both of which had the new kiosks. No queues at BCN (was around 1730) and a moderate queue at ACE. I don't remember answering any questions on the machines - in fact they kiosk just told me to go straight to the e-gate on both occasions. So I have no idea if i am registered or not.
