Excellent flight SYD-DOH, loved every minute of it barring the bad main/steak that I just should not have pre-ordered (but it had the Aussie chef recommendation next to it - foolish. I made up for it in DOH with a lovely steak at AM Gardens). The menu covers were holiday-themed.

F was 8/8 but most people slept. When I woke 8 hours into the flight, the FA's were more than accommodating and I had several dishes and drinks to enjoy the experience. Spent about 30 minutes at the bar and the crew were super friendly (took my photo behind the bar, etc).

Both Champagnes are very good but the Bollinger Rosé is exquisite - honestly.

Crew were outstanding. At one point the FA recommended the Don Julio 1942 tequila (added to F spirits as of Dec 15 according to her; a favorite of mine flying BA F), and then she kept recommending things saying "I love to serve instead of doing nothing"! I had leftover dinner mains instead of breakfast, and they held my dessert order from the night before (last pic below - outstanding). The spirits menu had Belvedere 10 but they were out of it; the Hennessy XXO cognac was free-flowing and available for J too. It seems QR have upped their spirits game as of late...

When a 15h flight is "too short", you really do know it was a great flight. Worth every hard-earned Avios - Happy New Year!

Caviar - salmon was excellent


Menu was wrong so I received prawns instead of lobster - very very good.


Soup was excellent.


Beef main - looks great; was terrible and overcooked. Alas.
