- Breakfast seems to be included broadly for all now. The property overview within the Bonvoy app confirms this, as did the hotel team member who helped me during check-in.
- Upsell for the festive season dinners is out of control. Understanding hotels make significant profit off of F&B, I feel I shouldn’t be repeatedly upsold after politely declining multiple times. Doesn’t help that their Christmas dinner (food + alcohol) cost the same as the meal I had at Odette the week prior
.
- Resort in general feels overbooked. Our first jaunt to both pools yielded no loungers and a pool crowded with large groups of people taking photos at Horizons. Decided to take a dip in the ocean after, promptly got stung by the oft-cited jellyfish (that one’s on me
).
Overall, some good, some bad, understanding this is one of the busiest times of year, curious to see how I’ll feel as I get deeper into my stay. At this point, I’m stretching and warming up for the potential Hunger Games-style lounger battle I’m anticipating will happen tomorrow.
Any closing thoughts after concluding your stay?
