The 100 or 150 people queued up for breakfast probably, if asked, would have said it was not a one-off.

I avoided that queue because by asking the clerk, I discovered we could use our breakfast allowance at the take-out market next door. I ordered a bagel, cream cheese, and lox which arrived pre-packaged, probably done at least two days before as it turned out to be very soggy. I can't comment on what my companion ordered since when we opened it back in the room, they had given something different than what had been ordered.

A platter of appetizers and a random red wine just arrived on the afternoon of my second day. Maybe that was what was supposed to have been provided, yesterday. Would have been a bit better if the platter also came with serving utensils and plate.

Some of these issues may just have been bad luck, but it is clear to me -- who has stayed here a number of times happily in the past -- that there are more general issues. But the place is busy, so maybe they are right that they can get by without the service they used to offer. Not from me.
