I flew SIN-EWR two weeks ago and sat in Seat 19K. Here are my main observations regarding some of the issues discussed in this thread:
-The comfort level for sleeping or sitting upright is incomparably superior in the bulkhead seats. In addition, the overall spaciousness of the entire bulkhead seat area was critical for me. On such a long flight, the non-bulkhead seats make me feel claustrophobic, but the bulkheads are so open there is no feeling of being closed in, even after 17+ hours.
-Noise from the galley was a complete non-issue. While this is based on crew behavior, chances are virtually 100% your crew will be quiet, respectful, and professional.
-Premium Economy passengers passing through the rear Business cabin during boarding is another non-issue. There are only 92 PE seats so having, at most, half those people pass through your aisle is of no consequence.
-There are no hoops to jump through to snag a bulkhead seat. I fell asleep at the switch and didn’t check bulkhead availability until online 48 hours prior. Lucky for me, 19K was available.
Overall, the bulkhead seat made the ultra long journey a pleasure!
