Package Holiday schedule change by BA - room type now not available.
We booked a package holiday to Menorca next year, but BA have cancelled the return flight, meaning we have needed to move the whole holiday forward a day.
We originally booked 2 different room types. Rather than amend the hotel booking (which they said they would), BA have added 2 new room bookings for one night. One of the original room types doesn’t look available, so they have booked an upgraded room for one night. This means that 2 of our group, will definitely have to move rooms mid holiday and for the other room; we will need to negotiate to try and stay in the same room.
My question is; can BA force you to accept an upgrade for one night and then move rooms - or do they have to provide you with the same room for the duration of the holiday; even if this means they have to upgrade one of the rooms?
The most frustrating thing is; if we had accepted a refund at the time of the schedule change - we could have booked the same holiday with Jet2 where both rooms were upgraded and we would have saved money. Now Jet2 have increased their prices and we may loose out by sticking with BA! Thanks
