I attempted to rent from a Hertz franchise location this week and even called a couple of days before arrival. This location would not honor the Hertz reservation guarantee for PC members. This is not the first time this has happened to me thie year. It is very irritating that Hertz, or any company, enters agreements and not hold those parties to the standard procedures that the corporation follows.
Starbucks Coffee has agreements with locations like this called Concept Stores (Barnes & Noble, airports, grocery stores) and these location also do not honor standards as well. Agreements with franchise locations/concept stores will only hurt the parent company. When are the corporations going to learn that this is not a good relationship and certainly one that the very loyal patron will tire of.
