However your chances are close to zero. The rules clearly say points expire after 12 months of no earn / redeem activity, there is nothing about an end-of-month cutoff (and there has never been). Given that you have no status and have not had any activity in 12 months, you must have a very strong reason to provide IHG why from a loyalty-point of view they should make an exception.
