A plus or a minus depending on what's important to you. Yes, it's convenient to transit (and the peripherique), but the surrounds are not especially nice or interesting, unless you want to run in the Bois de Boulogne (and personally I'd rather run the Seine).
yes it is but it was already before as “étoile” is the name of the place where arc de triomphe. “Le Meridien porte maillot” is how this place should be called.
