I was recently approved for a new Citi AA Platimum Select card. Timeline:

30 Nov - Applied online
18 Dec - After 2 weeks of no action, status checker finally indicated a letter had been mailed with a code
24 Dec - Letter received, code entered in application and instantly approved
24 Dec - Later that same day email arrived saying my card is on its way
26 Dec - Got a strange text from 95686
Free Msg Citi: Please confirm you recently opened a Citi Advantage Platinum Select Card. Reply 1=Yes 2=No or call 8334311981. This card may be restricted until we hear from you. Reply STOP to Opt-Out
My question is - Is this legit? The card has not arrived in the mail, indications are it should be expected 7-10 business days, probably more given the time of year. The card has not been activated. Am I safe to give reply 1? Last thing I want is to get on the bad side of Citi fraud or trigger them.
