This was my first experience of a regional First Class flight on QR, and it was impressive.

A cushion, bottle of water and menu was waiting for me at my seat of this 10-year-old A320 with three rows of recliner seats. Packaged cold towels and an open bar choice of drink were offered on the ground.







Once in the air, tablecloths were laid and breakfast trays hand run from the galley. The scrambled eggs with turkey was quite decent although way too hot to eat quickly on such a short sector. This was accompanied by seasonal fresh fruit and a cream cheese-frosted chocolate roll.

Non-alcoholic pre-departure drinks were offered along with bottles of water from a tray. Interestingly, a glass of champagne was brought to one passenger after the door closed. Dates and Arabic coffee were served to all passengers once the aisle was clear from boarding. The Cabin Supervisor provided a welcome by name.







Once in the air, tablecloths were laid and dinner trays hand run from the galley. Service was run from the last row to the front row, the opposite of my outbound flight. As I was in 1F, I was the last to be served, right at the top of descent.

The chicken madrouba with Qatari butter was flavoursome, accompanied by a starter of labneh, beetroot and pita bread, and a dessert of coconut and mango Bavarian. For those passengers not eating, nuts in ramekins were offered to accompany drinks.
